Meet Scout - Noah

My name is Noah, and like all Noah's, I hail from Kansas City - a place where Noah's spend their days playing baseball and nights hacking remote control cars. After graduating from Pittsburg State University, a small D2 school in southeastern Kansas, I left my Automotive Technology degree behind and delved into the start-up world. I was the first sales hire at Zaarly (a service-based marketplace) which, after a large round of funding, moved me to San Francisco. While I enjoyed my time on the west coast, I was excited to parlay my experience into assisting start-ups with offshore software development right here in Chicago. I’m now leading Scout’s growth through sales and partnerships.
1. What’s your favorite part of being a member of the Scout team?
I love the industry we are in. So much has evolved since we’ve launched and Scout has had a giant impact in defining the smart home security sector. It’s exciting to be a part of something in it’s infancy and see it really start to grow and get legs.
2. Besides Scout, which IoT product can you not live without and why?
My Amazon Echo. I love that I can control so much by just talking to it.
3. What’s your favorite IFTTT recipe?
I have the next days weather sent to me every night at 9pm. This prepares me for the fluky Chicago weather. Depending on the month though you have to be prepared for anything.
